Hey Team,

Happy October! This is hands-down my favorite month of the year. We’ve got cooler weather, football, spooky season, and... corporate compliance training. ☺

A friendly reminder to keep working through your assigned training. I wrapped up everything due in October and have already started on November. It may not be the most exciting item on the to-do list, but it reinforces our shared commitment to safety, security, and compliance. Thank you for making it a priority.

Speaking of exciting news... new microwaves are coming to a kitchenette near you!

After a little teamwork and persistence, we received finance approval for microwaves that do not have the buttons falling off. A huge thank you to Larry Kelly and Eric Davies for handling the ordering and helping make this happen. They should be arriving soon, and I know many lunch breaks will be better because of it!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to participate in the Level Up Your Career Expo, and it was a fantastic experience. The event gave employees a chance to learn more about career opportunities across TechOps, and I was energized by the level of interest in our team and the work we do. It was inspiring to meet so many people from other divisions who are curious about our division. Events like this are a great reminder of the incredible talent across TechOps and the opportunities we have to learn from one another, grow our careers, and strengthen our organization together.

I also wanted to share an update on some of the work happening across TechOps. I’ve been partnering with leaders from several areas to better understand operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve performance. What’s been most encouraging is the collaboration. We’re gaining a stronger understanding of each other’s businesses, breaking down silos, and focusing on root causes rather than symptoms. We’re still working through the data and determining where we can make the biggest impact, but the progress so far has been very positive. As we continue to learn and identify opportunities, I’ll share updates through Lunch & Learns, email, or other forums as appropriate.

Our Survey Action Team has now met twice. We’ve completed our kickoff session and started working through the survey results and potential action plans. Thank you to everyone who participated and continues to provide feedback. We’re committed to turning that feedback into meaningful actions and will share more as plans take shape. In the meantime, my door is always open, and the suggestion box remains available if you have ideas you’d like to share.

As always, if you need anything, have questions, or just want to connect, feel free to schedule time on my calendar or stop by. I appreciate everything you do and the impact you make every day.

Have a great month!

Steph

HOUSEKEEPING

Help keep our break-room sinks flowing

A special request for the team: please place food scraps in the trash, not down the break-room sinks. We’ve been experiencing clogs each week, and a little extra care can help prevent them.

Strainers help catch food, but they need to stay clean. After use, empty any collected scraps into the trash, rinse the strainer, and put it back in place.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our shared break areas clean and ready for everyone!
